Redwood Empire Association: Effectively expanding
tourism marketing opportunities in the North Coast through
partnership.
The Redwood Empire Association has proudly served the North
Coast region for over 80 years. Long before the Golden Gate
Bridge was built the Redwood Empire Association was formed to
attract travelers to California's majestic North Coast. The
Redwood Empire Association represents nine counties: San
Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, Del
Norte, and Josephine County, Oregon. The North Coastal Counties
Supervisors Association, Caltrans, Golden Gate Bridge District
as well as private industry and the executive directors of
county destination marketing organizations hold seats on the
Redwood Empire Association Board of Directors.
One of the main goals of the Redwood Empire Association is to
promote, market, and support the "North Coast", and is
in the unique position to be California's official Regional
Destination Marketing Organization. Redwood Empire Association
operates the North Coast Visitors Bureau in partnership with the
California Welcome Center at PIER 39 in San Francisco. North
Coast Specialists are on staff seven days a week to assist
visitors traveling the North Coast.
Whether visitors have a passionate concern or a passing
curiosity in the mysterious California and Southern Oregon
redwoods, the Redwood Empire Association has been providing
information and travel assistance since 1927. |
